The London Motor Show at the ExCel Exhibition Centre features three huge halls including a Live Arena and Live Stage with supercars, monster trucks, stunt car demonstrations and much more.

The show features three big halls showcasing brand new car debuts, a supercar paddock, World Car of the Year winners, the Live Arena with stunt driving and the London Motor Show Parade. Manufacturers and suppliers will present the latest new cars and technology.

Alongside this will be Electric Avenue, showcasing the latest plug-in vehicles, monster trucks and a special feature celebrating the best of British, including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Bentley vintage models and more than 20,000 sqm of exhibition space. Motoring legends and celebrities will present special features on the Live Stage and meet and greet visitors.

Ahead of the show, The Motor Report  brings you a preview some of the highlights:

Live Arena – The Imperial Cars Live Arena is open from 10am until each day’s proceedings end, featuring stunt driving, a Caterham’s drift taxi service and supercars on display. It’s here that you’ll see the parade that takes place each day.

London Motor Show Parade – You can see many of the highlights of the show in one place at the same time. New car debuts, supercars revving their engines, modified cars, motorsport vehicles donating, refined and innovative electric car designs and many more examples of different vehicles are on show in a live parade featuring the best of the show.

Supercar Paddock: This is where some of the most exciting and iconic vehicles ever driven are displayed. From Ferrari’s to Bugatti’s, Aston Martin’s to Lamborghini’s, over £5 million (AUD$9.3 million) worth of supercars are exhibited and you can get up close to see classic designs first hand and see and hear the noise they create in the Live Arena.

Latest new releases: Probably the most important element of any motor show are the new cars available to be seen for the first time. The London Motor Show won’t disappoint with new models debuting including MG Motors first electric car the ZS EV, VW’s new EV the ID.3, Mitsubishi’s revised Outlander PHEV and new cars from Hyundai including SUV, Tuscon N-Line, IONIQ and Kona amongst many others.

World Car of the Year Winners: This is also the chance to see all World Car of the Year winners together in one place for the first time. The World Car Garage will allow the audience to see all the winners and offer a tantalising first glimpse of contenders for the 2020 crown.

Electric Avenue: In Hall 1, all the best new electric vehicles showcasing future design and the latest technology are revealed, from the New Smart For Two Electric, the Renault Zoe to the Hyundai Kona and Jaguar iPace, all on show in one place. There will be a session on the live stage dedicated to exposing myths about the realities of owning an electric vehicle and a special presentation from Arkady Fiedler explaining how he drove a Nissan Leaf across Africa using just a normal charging cable.

Best of British: The ‘Built in Britain’ zone displays some amazing UK cars, including iconic and exotic models from Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Bentley but also niche, specialist brands including Noble, Caterham and BAC Mono, a racing car for the road.

Monster trucks and dancing cars: Hugely popular last year and filling the “Big” arena will be amazing modified vehicles, monster American trucks, dancing cars and more. Imperial Cars will also be showing of prestige models and affordable superminis, some available to take for a spin.

There is also a dedicated kids area, passenger rides in a Caterham Drift Taxi, celebrities, Paul Swift’s Stunt driving show featuring a choreographed show of stunts and two-wheel driving to music in the new Ford Focus ST, interactive areas like the Great London Motor Show Lego build and live artwork from Popbang Colour producing artwork on a 10-metre canvas using remote control cars and the Marketplace where suppliers will demonstrate their latest products and ideas.

The Motor Report will be on the ground bringing you the top new stories straight from the showroom floor.
