Mini confirms Millbrook Edition for Australia
Mini has announced pricing and specification for a very limited edition hot hatch.
Restricted to just 20 units, all Mini Millbrook editions are finished in exclusive ‘Heritage’ Ice Blue paint and adorned with motorsport additions that are “a nod to the original Mini’s giant-killing rallying endeavours in the 1960s.”
Those include a barrage of black bits such as unique 17-inch alloy wheels, black headlights, mirror caps, roof and twin black racing stripes with red and white highlights. A pair of driving lights with Mini cover caps complete the rally-inspired look.
Mini Australia general manager Brett Waudby said the Millbrook was destined to become a collector’s item.
“Millbrook, with its specific appearance and JCW performance, is a fitting special edition offer for the recently-updated MINI Hatch range. And with only 20 destined for the Australian market, it will become a collector’s item,” he said.
Based on the pumped-up John Cooper Works and inspired in name by one of the hot hatch's UK testing grounds, the Millbrook comes endowed with the same JCW-tuned 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor, producing 170kW and 320Nm through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additional performance enhancements include launch control, adaptive suspension and performance tyres to replace the usual run-flat rubber.
Further exterior additions for the Millbrook are LED headlights, Union Jack-style rear taillights, automatic headlights and wipers, and sun protective glazing on the Ice Blue paint.
Inside are 'lounge leather' trim seats with heating upfront and piano black finishes around central dash elements under a black Anthracite roof lining. The JCW standard features carry over, including an 8.8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and 4G connectivity, 12-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, dual-zone climate control, colour heads-up display, wireless charging and park assist.
Orders open soon, and pricing for the Mini JCW Millbrook Edition is set at $57,275 plus on-road costs.
