Audi to reveal drive-in movie windscreen
Audi is set to transform the Drive-in theatre.
The German brand will preview its vision for in-car entertainment of the future at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, showcasing technology that will transform autonomous cars into mobile movie theatres.
The brand has yet to fully reveal details of its system but says the advances in autonomous driving technology coming in its next-generation vehicles will provide occupants with more "free time" and greater connectivity, which "therefore provide prerequistes for an entertainment space."
In a statement confirming its presence at 2019's CES, Audi says it will also showcase a nearer-to-production advance in infotainment, with its so-called "Audi Immersive In-Car Entertainment" system that will allow passengers to enjoy "Hollywood blockbusters or content provided by streaming services" while the vehicle is stationary.
