New Gran Turismo 5 Nurburgring Images Released, Launch Dates No Clearer

WHILE A launch date for the latest chapter in the legendary Gran Turismo video game series is no closer to being confirmed, publishers Sony and Polyphony Digital have issued new images revealing that the famed Nurburgring will once again join game's course list.

All three courses of the Nurburgring will feature in Gran Turismo 5, including the Grand Prix course, the Nordschleife and the Nurburgring 24 Hours course.

The new images reveal what could be the most detailed in-game views of the Nurburgring yet seen in a video game, with even track-side tent city rendered in vivid detail.

Neither Sony nor Polyphony have offered any recent word on when GT5 will hit shelves. Late last year, Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Chris Hinojosa-Miranda said the company is hoping for a Summer 2010 (US) launch - around June or July at the earliest.

With Japan's March release missed, a June/July Western release would seem unlikely.
