Mitsubishi has revealed details of its mid-life update for the Outlander SUV.
The popular family wagon brings mild styling revisions and mechanical modifications across the range with minor price rises.
Still available in three model grades - ES, LS and Exceed - with a choice of either petrol or diesel engines, front- or all-wheel drive transmissions and five or seven-seat configurations in the entry-level and mid-spec variants, all come with a host of upgrades that includes new-look front and rear bumpers, redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels and more.
The model range starts at $29,290 (plus on-roads) - $300 more than before - for the five-seat ES with a 2.0-litre petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.
LS and Exceed variants receive a rear spoiler and updated interior trim, while petrol models with a larger 2.4-litre engine and CVT transmission and diesel-powered variants with an automatic also pick-up rear air vents and an electric park brake. All variants have a revised seat cushion for additional comfort, while mid-grade LS now has leather-trimmed seats with four-way electric adjustment for the front pews.
Under the skin, all Outlanders adopt revised steering, with a quicker rack to improve response and feedback, as well as larger diameter shock absorbers all round to improve compliance.
Mitsubishi says the body structure is more rigid too, and the engine's catalytic converter has been improved to reduce engine noise under acceleration.
