Lexus LX 570 S lands this month
A beefed-up version of the Lexus LX 570 SUV is on the way.
The LX 570 S will arrive in showrooms late October, packed with a range of new features.
Gloss black 21-inch forged alloy wheels, a body kit, new grille mesh and courtesy lamps mounted on the side mirrors projecting the letters “LX S” on the ground are some of the upgrades on the new model.
Lexus says updated front dampers improve the SUV’s body rigidity and steering stability, while re-styled front and rear bumper skirts give the LX 570 S a more aggressive look.
An array of safety features come as part of the Lexus Safety System, including emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, heads up display and rear cross traffic alert.
Tech-wise, the SUV will come with a 12.3-inch infotainment unit which includes navigation, reverse camera and a four-camera multi-terrain monitor and panoramic view monitor.
Heated steering wheel, heated seats with perforated leather inserts and four-zone climate control air conditioning are standard.
The new SUV will be powered by the same 5.7-litre V8 engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission to produce 270kW of power and 530Nm of torque.
Priced at $168,089 plus on road costs, it commands a premium of $25,000 more than the base model LX 570.
