Fiat unveils Fastback SUV
Fiat has unveiled it’s newest concept car, the Fastback.
The Fastback is said to be a mix between an SUV, sedan and coupe, using the same underpinnings as the brand’s small SUV, the Toro.
While some of the Fastback’s front-end features look similar to the Toro, that’s where the similarities end.
Photographs of the concept show a spaceship-like interior with three transparent digital screens - one behind the steering wheel for vehicle information, another for the infotainment unit and another for the climate control settings.
A squashed-looking steering wheel (flat at top and bottom) and leather seats make up the rest of the simplified dash.
Side mirrors are replaced with exterior cameras that display outside images to the driver and there isn’t a door handle in sight.
Fiat says a production model based on the concept is expected to launch in Brazil in 2020.
