Cheapest Haval model lands
Haval has introduced a new model to its SUV line-up.
The smallest and cheapest of the Chinese manufacturer’s range, Haval says the H2 MT is currently the lowest-priced, five-star ANCAP rated, 4-cylinder turbo-charged SUV on the market in Australia.
The brand is offering the H2 MT (with a manual transmission) for $19,990 drive away with standard inclusions of Bluetooth, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring and cruise control.
Powering the SUV is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission making 110kW of power and 210Nm of torque.
Other H2 variants include the H2 Premium priced at $22,990 drive away in auto and the range-topping H2 LUX for $26,990 drive away in auto.
All models get Haval’s 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty, available until the end of the year.
Haval’s marketing manager, Bill Soo, says it’s new price point, combined with one of the longest factory warranties in Australia, makes the Chinese brand more appealing than ever.
“Australians work hard to make ends meet and, for many, the decision about a new car often means making some difficult compromises - either in their children’s education, renovations or retirement savings,” says Soo.
“The launch of the H2 MT is a way of making safe, high quality SUVs more accessible to more Australians.”
