Aston Martin has released a special edition to celebrate the end of its current V12 powered Vanquish S, the Vanquish S Ultimate.
Just 175 Ultimate models will be produced globally and deliveries are expected to commence from early next year. Aston Martin Australia has confirmed the Ultimate is available here from $519,000 (plus on-roads) for the coupe and $556,000 (plus on-roads) for the drop-top Volante.
The Ultimate comes in three designer-chosen themes that combine specially selected colours and materials. Owners can also opt to create their own customisation at no additional cost, although all cars are fitted with an Ultimate sill plaque, a special stitched quilting design on the seats and ‘Ultimate’ headrest embroidery.
The first scheme combines Ultimate black – the paint created for the first generation Vanquish S Ultimate Edition – with cooper bronze highlights around the air intake, side sills and rear diffuser. Inside are Obsidian black leather seats with tan stitching and carbon fibre fascia.
A little sportier is a combination of Xenon grey paint, Cobalt blue graphics and carbon fibre and black trims. The theme is further enhanced by yellow brake callipers, gloss black alloys and a grey leather interior with yellow and blue highlights.
Aston’s third option combines white gold paint with bronze ascents and carbon fibre trims. Inside is a tan leather interior with black stitching and carbon fibre fascia.
The Ultimate is powered by the same 444kW and 630Nm 5.9-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine as the Vanquish S and it could be one of the last of the British marque’s cars to feature it. Sending power to the rear-wheels via a transaxle eight-speed automatic transmission, the Ultimate also gets carbon-ceramic brakes and three-way adaptive dampers as standard.
“As the much-loved and highly-acclaimed Vanquish S nears the end of production, we wanted to celebrate its success with a limited run of very special cars. The Ultimate edition perfectly captures the spirit of Vanquish and is sure to be sought after by collectors around the world,” said Aston Martin VP & chief sales officer, Christian Marti.
The Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate is available to order locally now.
