Aston Martin has dialled-up James Bond's preffered ride.

The British marque has revealed its new DB11 AMR performance coupe, tweaked by the brand's track-focused enterprise - Aston Martin Racing.

Based on the V12-powered variant, the wicked-up DB11 flagship model boasts even greater performance and a number of styling and specification improvements.

Power comes from the brand's 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo petrol engine that now produces 470kW, a rise of 23kW compared to the regular V12 DB11. Torque remains unchanged at 700Nm as does the eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive layout.

The added power helps the DB11's top speed rise to 335km/h, which is 13km/h faster than the stock V12 model. The grand tourer's 0-100km/h sprint time has also been reduced to 3.7 seconds from 3.9 seconds.

Aston Martin has also tweaked the DB11 AMR's exhaust note for a louder more vocal sound, especially when in Sport mode.

Stylistically the AMR is differentiated from the standard DB11 by a number of exterior features that include dark headlight surrounds, front grille and tailpipes, smoked tail lamps, a gloss black roof, side sills and splitter along with a number of carbon fibre elements.

Inside, the DB11 AMR scores black leather and Alcantara upholstery with a contrasting lime stripe along with sports seats and a leather sport steering wheel.

The DB11 AMR joins the DB11 V12 and DB V8 in the brand's line-up.

Aston Martin Racing has recently opened it new performance centre at the Nurburgring in Germany. The performance centre offers customers the chance to develop their abilities on the track while also providing a support hub for the brand's race teams.
