A workhorse ute just won’t cut it in Australia without a range of accessories to help get the job done, which is why China’s LDV has introduced a range of work-ready accessories for its newly released T60 ute.

Having recently gone on sale starting from a competitive $29,000, the T60 now offers a small range of popular accessories in the hope of increasing its appeal to Aussie pickup drivers.

The range of accessories is only limited initially, but covers several key trade-focussed areas that have proven popular amongst competitors.

Basic protection equipment includes a choice of either carpet or vinyl floor mats, wind deflectors, bonnet and headlight protectors, and a cargo mat.

Up front there’s a choice of two nudge bars, which both feature mounting points for additional driving lights, one of the nudge bars also adds the protection of a lower bash plate.

To keep things secure out back, LDV will offer Carryboy canopies with locking side and rear smoked glass windows. Inside the canopy customers can equip a sliding alloy tray to improve access to the cargo bed.

To go with the T60’s standard roof rails a range of cross bars will be available, and a full length roof rack can be added when a canopy has been equipped.

Hard tray lids and soft tonneau covers are also able to be optioned on the LDV T60.

Other accessories include LED tub lighting and 12 volt power sockets, towbar, ladder rack, and sports bar. Pricing for the accessories has not yet been revealed.

The accessory equipment is predominantly sourced from Australian suppliers, and LDV will also look to grow the range in line with customer demand.

"The majority of these accessories have been developed by Australian suppliers with the expertise to match their products to the exacting needs of Australian owners for quality and durability while complementing LDV’s reputation for value for money," said General Manager of LDV Automotive Dinesh Chinnappa.

“This extensive and growing range of accessories is a further sign of LDV’s total commitment to the new market sector it has entered with the T60 and support it provides to owners."

LDV recently announced pricing and specifications for the T60 dual cab ute range, including two trim levels, Pro and Luxe, powered by a 110kW/360Nm 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine.
