Less is not more when it comes to Jaguar's model ranges.
The British brand has announced it will expand the line-up for its little E-Pace luxury SUV, which already features a not so little range of 38 variants.
Currently offered with the choice of five engine options – three petrol and two diesels – each of which has between six and nine variants, now E-Pace buyers will soon have a fourth petrol engine – and the trim-lines that come with it - to choose from.
The latest engine is a 147kW/340Nm turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit – which Jaguar calls the 200PS – and is already found in the Jaguar XE compact sedan.
Besides the engine, the 2019 model year E-Pace will herald in the British automaker's new adaptive suspension which alters the required damper force every 10 milliseconds to help improve the vehicle's ride and handling.
In a boost to the E-Pace's technology stocks the little SUV will feature the British marque's new smart settings which utilises artificial intelligence. The system was first used on the soon-to-be-launched all-electric I-Pace and learns from a driver's habits by recognising the specific key fob and the driver's smartphone Bluetooth signal to adjust the seat, climate and infotainment systems.
All E-Pace engines are now equipped with a particulate filter for a further reduction in emissions.
