Mitsubishi Australia has today announced availability of the 2011 Mitsubishi Triton Club Cab, filling an important gap in the Triton model line-up.

The new Triton Club Cab is based on the MY11 four-wheel-drive GLX Single Cab, powered by the same 2.5 litre 'High Performance' diesel engine. Inside, the Club Cab gets bucket seats, flip-up 'occasional use' rear seats, a lever-type park brake and a floor console with lid and cup holder.

“Triton is one of the mainstays of the Mitsubishi range and has always proved popular as a practical and rugged work vehicle that can take all the hard knocks thrown at it,” Mitsubishi Australia CEO Masahiko Takahashi said of the Triton range.

“At the same time, Triton’s recognised four-wheel drive capabilities and car-like comfort have seen it used for recreational activities as well. The result is that this car is in great demand – which is why we have decided to bring the Triton Club Cab back into the Triton model range”.

The Triton Club Cab is available with a five-speed manual transmission only, with easy-select 4WD mode and heavy-duty suspension featuring as standard equipment.

Power for the Club Cab is provided by Mitsubishi's 2.5 litre four-cylinder DOHC diesel engine, producing 131kW at 4000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2000rpm. Fuel consumption is listed at 8.1 l/100km.

Carrying capacity for the Triton Club Cab is rated at 1057kg for the Pick Up, and 1192kg for the Cab Chassis, while total towing capacity is rated at 2700kg.

The Triton Club Cab is available in both Pick Up and Cab Chassis variants, and Active Stability, Traction Control and Diff Lock are available as options.

Pricing and Availability

The Triton Club Cab comes with a five-year/130,000km whole vehicle warranty, backed up by a 10 year/160,000 km powertrain warranty and a five year/unlimited km roadside assistance package.

The Triton Club Cab is on sale now for $38,990 (Manufacturer's List Price).
