Maserati has this week issued recalls for its Quattroporte And Ghibli models in Australia, due to a potential fuel leak.

The carmaker has identified a weakness with the fuel delivery pipe, which may allow fuel to leak onto the road.

Should this occur, a hazard may be present for other road users, and a fire risk may be present in extreme circumstances.

To date, no such incidents have been reported in Australia.

A total of 240 vehicles are targeted by the recall in Australia, with rectification work already underway. Under the recall, the offending fuel pipe will be replaced at no cost to owners.

Affected models include Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli models from the 2014 and 2015 model-years.

Maserati will attempt to contact the remaining affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
