Maserati will launch a new variant in its GranTurismo line at this month's Paris Auto SHow. Dubbed GranTurismo MC Stradale, the new model brings a touch more power and a number of functional styling tweaks.

Described by Maserati as the "fastest, lightest and most powerful car" in its line-up, the MC Stradale is powered by a retuned version of the same Ferrari V8 engine as the regular model, producing 335kW - up from the GranTurismo's 324kW.

Cutting weight (although numbers have not been offered), the MC Stradale loses the barely-there back seats of the regular GranTurismo, while a new front bumper and Lexus IS F-like brake vents make up the bulk of styling tweaks.

Further technical details of Maserati's "Macca", including performance figures and other technical changes, are expected to be revealed at Paris later this month.
