Take a note of this bloke's name folks, we're sure he'll be winning himself a Darwin Award down the track.

In Michigan, a chap by the name of Victor Harris found himself attached to his Lincoln Navigator for two hours after getting his fingers stuck in the fuel filler.

Harris was about to add a fuel additive to his car when he noticed a piece of paper in the fuel filler and reached in to retrieve it. Big mistake pal.

It turns out the paper was just out of his reach and poor Victor got himself stuck.

Friends tried to assist, but after two hours with no success Harris finally admitted defeat and called the fire brigade to help him out.

After a further two hours of work, the brigade had managed to unbolt the Lincoln's fuel filler and sent it (with Harris still attached) to hospital.

Medics freed Harris, and sent him home with two stitches in his finger to reflect upon his own stupidity.

For his efforts Victor Harris earns himself the dubious title of being TMR’s ‘high-octane fool’. For future reference we recommend keeping all body parts clear of your fuel filler, no matter how inviting it may look.
