Koenigsegg, following in the footsteps of so many other manufacturers, has opted to give the world a glimpse of its wares ahead of the Geneva Motor Show.

And like many of its peers, the Swedish supercar maker is playing coy, giving us absolutely nothing beyond the above image and a name - ladies and gentleman, meet The Quant.

Of course, we can deduce a couple of things easily enough: being a Koenigsegg means it's going to be fast, and expensive.

As for what heart will beat beneath those sinister black panels and exactly how much the whole thing will cost is anyone's guess. We weren't kidding when we said Koenigsegg was remaining tight-lipped.

Perhaps as a peace offering for giving us no real details on The Quant, Koenigsegg has also released details on its latest generation 'Infotainment' system for the current model CCX.

Almost every function and feature you could think of is controlled through the new setup, including satellite navigation, climate, audio and access to the CCX’s performance information such as the torque and G-force metre.

Access to the car's sophisticated electronics is also provided through the same touch-screen interface allowing drivers to adjust the chassis, change traction-control settings, and alter the ATM paddle-shifter system.

The new ATM Paddleshift setup is connected to an all-new transmission capable of withstanding almost 1100Nm (815lb-ft) of torque while somehow managing to be 30cm smaller than the box it replaces. The dual-clutch setup also features a new E-diff to improve cornering characteristics, as if to say the Koenigsegg was lacking in that department.

The Geneva Motor Show isn’t far off now so we’ll have more information on The Quant as soon as it’s available. Until then, take a look at the hi-res images below.
