WITH THE LAUNCH of the 2010 Jaguar XJ a mere two weeks away, anticipation for the British luxury manufacturer's refreshed flagship is high.

To keep the public's mind on the Jaguar badge, the Tata-owned company has released teaser videos, one after the other, featuring some tasty morsels of information about the car and members of the development team walking us through their involvement in the project.

The first video featured none other than the car's legendary designer, Ian Callum, talking about the philosophies and processes behind the restyled XJ.

That video was followed by audio engineer Matt Jones looking at the XJ's Bowers & Wilkins audio system.

Today, Jaguar has issued a third - and possibly final - video that sees several team members talking about their roles in the project, explaining choices behind the materials and methods used in the design and development of the new XJ.

Featured in the new video is Jaguar's Chief Technical Specialist for Body and Engineering, Mark White, along with Vehicle Line Director Mick Mohan.

A new image - seen above - has also been released, shows the aluminium body frame that the XJ is built around.

The 2010 Jaguar XJ will be powered by the company's new 380kW 5.0 litre V8 engine, and the XF's 3.0 litre turbo diesel V6 will be offered with the flagship as well. A supercharged XJR model is expected to join the range later.
