Jaguar: Boxster Rival, XF Coupe And Convertible On The Cards?

We've all no doubt been wondering for some time now just what sort of impact Tata’s purchase of Jaguar would have.  If the rumours we’re hearing are true, we could be looking at a broader Jaguar range in the near future.

According to a number of Jaguar dealers, recent discussions with the marque’s new owners have hinted that a 'cat-badged' rival for the Porsche Boxster may be in the brand’s future.  With Jaguar’s storied history with performance cars and in racing – with victories in the XK120, C-Type, and D-Type cars – it is within the realm of possibility. It might be time for Jaguar to remind the world of its pedigree beyond just the XK range (something that would certainly be welcomed by Jaguar fans).

Back in the land of rich folk cruising around in something that isn’t a BMW or Mercedes-Benz, there’s also talk that we could see coupe and convertible versions of the XF sedan in the near future – a car which has already given new hope to fans of the once legendary British brand.
