Isuzu D-Max LE II Announced, Limited To 180 Units

Following last year's pre-update 'Pearler' edition, Isuzu has launched another special edition version of its D-Max ute. Dubbed D-Max Limited Edition II, this latest special is limited to just 180 units.

Based on the top-sped LS-U 4x4 crew-cab ute, Isuzu says the LE II brings around $9000 worth of unique features and accessories, for a premium of $5000 over the regular LS-U pricing.

Among the LE II's included features is a Kenwood touch-screen system, with Garmin satellite navigation, reversing camera, DVD, USB, iPod/iPhone and Bluetooth connectivity. 

Half of the LE II models will feature silver-stitched charcoal Italian leather trim, with the front backrests monogrammed. The door trim inserts and the centre console padded inserts are also trimmed in leather. These extras are priced at $2400 on top of the LE II price.

There are also branded polished aluminium door sill scuff plates and custom carpet mats, with the front mats also monogrammed. 

Outside, the D-Max LE II gets a lockable hard tonneau, chrome nudge and sports bars, bonnet protector, fog light recess bezels and taillight guards. There is also Limited Edition II badging on the tub rear flanks and an LE II graphic along the bottom of the doors.

As with the LS-U, the LE II is equipped with standard air-conditioning, ABS with EBD, dual airbags, fold-in power door mirrors with turn indicators, cruise, projector headlights, remote entry, electric windows with one-touch driver’s glass up and down, dual-bin padded centre console, electro-luminescent instrument display, rear LSD, lockable tailgate, rubber tub floor mat, chrome rear step bumper and alloy wheels including the spare.

The LE II is kitted with D-MAX’s 4x4 package with a three-tonne maximum tow capacity, along with high-ride suspension, high 225mm ground clearance, low-range crawler first gear with anti-stall, steel plate sump and transfer case guards, fuel tank shield, wide track 16x7-inch wheels with 245/70 tyres and wheel arch flares.

There are also push-button dash controls for 2WD/4WD/low range selection and shift-on-the-fly up to 100 km/h between 2WD and 4WD High.

Manufacturer's list price for the manual Isuzu D-MAX Limited Edition II without leather trim is $47,300.
