In yet more positive performance news for the Hyundai Genesis, Hyundai's newly-developed Lambda RS (Rear wheel drive Sports) V6 engine will soon find its first home beneath the low-slung hood of the Genesis Coupe. With more power and torque on tap, the Genesis Coupe is looking like an exciting drive when it eventually makes it to these shores.
The current Lambda engine produces a respectable 216kWs, but revisions to the exhaust and intake, among other upgrades, have seen the new mill pump out a healthy 230kWs and 360Nms. The Lambda RS equipped Genesis Coupe will be available with six-speed manual or automatic gearbox to ensure the engine can be fully utilised.
With power and torque figures to rival the Australian delivered Nissan 350Z, and with a proposed price tag that will undercut the 350Z considerably, the Genesis Coupe is fast proving to be a real contender. We can't wait to get behind the wheel when the Genesis Coupe hits dealerships locally.
