HYUNDAI CURB

Just two years on from the unveiling of its ix-onic concept, which previewed the styling of the new ix35 compact SUV, Hyundai is set to reveal an all new crossover concept.

Dubbed 'Curb', the new concept will make its debut at this week's North American International Auto Show in Detroit, alongside the upcoming Veloster sports coupe.

Hyundai has revealed little about its latest concept. While its giant wheels are concept through-and-through, models such as the new Range Rover Evoque prove that concepts as stylised as the Curb can easily make the leap to a production future.

Where the Curb would fit into the Hyundai line-up is unclear. Perhaps as a sub-ix35 offering, or a more lifestyle- or sports-oriented model built on the same platform.

Inside, the Curb concept gets the usual futuristic styling, with a huge sweeping dash, unconventional seats and steering wheel, and a massive digital display.

Little else is known about the Concept at this stage, but with only a few days until its unveiling, all will be revealed soon enough.
