In the lead-up to the 2007 Los Angeles International Motor Show, Hyundai have released a couple of teaser images of their upcoming Genesis Coupe based on their BH rear-wheel drive platform. Not due to be seen on the street until sometime after the release of the Genesis sedan we can logically expect the Coupe to be a 2010 model, or thereabouts.

The Concept Genesis Coupe will be unveiled for the first time at the LA Motor Show on Wednesday November 14. According to Hyundai the Concept Genesis Coupe provides us all with a hint of Hyundai’s design direction for their future rear-wheel-drive sports coupe.

Rest assured that this is the long awaited and much anticipated rear-wheel-drive Tiburon replacement and detail changes aside, it is believed that the Concept unveiled in LA will be largely representative of the final production car.

While the drivetrain options remain an educated guess Hyundai have said that they will not be dropping the V8 from the Genesis sedan between the suspension towers. We think there will be a V8 option, maybe not intially but eventually.
