Hyundai Celebrates 100,000 Getz Sales, Announces Plan to Sell Even More

Hyundai has announced that it has recently achieved 100,000 sales for its Getz compact car in Australia. To celebrate the milestone, the Korean automaker is launching a campaign to help get rid of even more Getz’s from its showrooms.

Of course, it’s all

Hyundai has announced that it has recently achieved 100,000 sales for its Getz compact car in Australia. To celebrate the milestone, the Korean automaker is launching a campaign to help get rid of even more Getz's from its showrooms.

Of course, it's all a pretty flimsy excuse to clear the decks of the by-now-outdated 2008 model in preparation for the upcoming 2009 Getz, which will be on sale from next month. That aside, with Hyundai dealers 'talking turkey' it's a great opportunity for new car buyers to pick up a bargain.

The 1.4-litre Getz S 3 door is now available from $11,990, while the 1.6-litre Getz SX 3 door is now just $12,990. The clearance campaign isn't limited to the Getz either, with the Elantra and Tucson also having their prices cut. These offers will cease at the end of September.

The multi-award winning Getz range continues to go from strength to strength with Getz 'S' being recently recognized as Australia's most affordable car to own and run in 2008 by the RACV, RACQ, RAC, RACT and RAA Vehicle Operating Costs Surveys.

Hyundai September 2008 sale details:

2008 Getz S 3 door with 1.4 litre petrol engine and manual transmission is available from $11,990* and includes keyless entry, power windows and mirrors and MP3 compatible audio. 2008 Getz SX 3 door with 1.6 litre petrol engine and manual transmission is available from $12,990* and comes with standard Anti-skid Brake System (ABS).
