No great surprise in that the Detroit area is no stranger to the latest model Commodores in one guise or another, although spotting a HSV on the other side of the world always makes for interesting news in Australia.

The Autoblog reader who snapped the shots confirmed that the Clubsport R8 was right hand drive. Autoblog surmised that the Clubsport might be sniffing out Pontiacs prestigious GXP badge given that the Holden Commodore SS-V has the G8 slot taken care of. Sorta makes sense given that we all know there is a big push at HSV to open new export markets for their product.

We should expect to see the E-Series permeate more overseas markets over the next year or three and we have no doubt the Americans will welcome the Aussie bruiser with open arms.
