Holden Special Vehicles have just announced that Scott Grant has been appointed their new Managing Director. Chairman John Crennan made the announcement and observed that this is only the third MD to be appointed in HSV’s 20 year history.

Scott looks rather chuffed at landing the plum role at HSV

An extensive search was undertaken to locate the appropriate individual. One who would be responsible for the continuing growth and evolution of the HSV brand and business.

Business is currently booming for HSV since the release of the E Series models and it is hoped that Scott’s experience with Lexus in the Australian and North American markets will put him in good stead to see it continue to boom.

Scott's new company car?

“When you think of iconic Australian brands, Holden Special Vehicles is right up there – I am looking forward to joining the company at a time when its sales success is taking the car company to a new level,” Scott said.

Scott will take up his new position with HSV in mid May. The outgoing Managing Director Phil Harding who oversaw the creation of the E Series HSV models that have been so successful will be heading to the United Kingdom.

This relocation will put Phil in the thick of the new export markets that HSV has its eyes on in Europe and elsewhere. Having spent many millions developing the E Series HSV now needs to increase its export program to ensure a worthwhile return on investment.
