Beneath the skin of the S2000 Frankenstein you see below is believed to beat the V10 heart of Hondas new NSX. Caught testing at the Nurburgring the stretched, re-skinned and pop-riveted S2000 is believed to be one of the first engineering mules for the engine and chassis development of the next gen NSX.

The NSX has been an on again off again project for some time now and was generally thought to have been buried last year. Honda now appear eager to join in the 'second coming' of the Japanese supercar with the likes of the Nissan GT-R and Lexus LF-A moving ever closer to becoming production realities.

A mid-engined V10 Honda NSX should be enough to put the cat amongst the pidgeons and we look forward to bringing you further news as it becomes known.
