With its original concept revealing more than a few production cues during its unveiling at the Paris Auto Show in September, the Holden Cruze Hatchback isn't likely to bring many new styling tricks when it arrives next year.
The Hatchback concept's unveiling was followed recently by spy photos of a camouflaged production model testing in Australia, albeit with its left-hand-drive Chevrolet face in place.
New renderings of the production Cruze Hatchback have surfaced online this week, offering further evidence that the front-end of the Cruze will remain largely unchanged.
Similarly, the rear-end and C-pillar appear unchanged from the concept, although the production Hatchback's taillights will likely be simplified before launch.
The familiar look of these trademark application images follows comments from Holden design boss Richard Ferlazzo earlier this year, who said that the Cruze Hatchback concept offered an almost market-ready look at what will come in 2011.
"Our brief was to create an alternative body style to the traditional sedan that retained the same dynamic proportions that has made Cruze such a success around the world,” Mr Ferlazzo said.
“We are very proud of the result which will be tailored further for the Australian market and given an appearance consistent with the rest of the Holden portfolio next year.”
