Holden has issued a recall this week for its Colorado pickup and Colorado 7 SUV, due to a potential issue with the vehicle’s front seatbelts.
The carmaker has identified a weakness with the seatbelt retractor unit, which may not have been correctly fastened to the vehicle body.
During a collision, the seatbelt retractor may not operate as intended, potentially causing a hazard for the vehicle’s occupants.
A total of 2717 vehicles are affected, including crew cab, space cab and single cab Colorado models along with the Colorado 7 SUV, built between January and March of last year.
The recall process will involve an inspection of the front seatbelt retractor bolts with rectification if necessary.
Holden will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
