Not to be outdone by all of the Detroit Motor Show shenanigans, Skoda have taken the wraps off their new Superb sedan. Details are skant but it has been confirmed that the Superb will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year.
Slotting into the upper-medium range the Superb will come with a choice of six Volkswagen produced engines, three petrol and three diesel units available ranging from 77kW(105hp) through to a 191kW(260hp) V6 unit. Gearbox choices will include both a manual and automatic and we believe that a DSG option will also be available.
The Superb will also feature adaptive, ?look-round-corner? headlamps, a new electronic air conditioning system and an automatic parking assistant system.
Safety hasn?t been ignored with the Superb being equipped with a total of nine airbags. The Superb will be manufactured at Skoda?s Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic and should be on sale in Europe in the second half of 2008.
