MTM has a penchant for taking some of Audi's tastiest offerings and making them... well, tastier. We've covered some of MTM's exploits in the past with the 433kW RS6 and 377kW S5. The tuning house has now turned its attention to the manic Audi R8 and created the Audi R8R.
The R8R makes up for any lack of creativity in naming with pure performance - thanks to the addition of a twin-screw supercharger attached to the R8's 309kW 4.2L V8. Coupled with inlet and exhaust mods, the R8R's upgraded donk utterly torches the treads with 412kWs and 580Nms.
Audi's exquisite Quattro all-wheel-drive system channels that power to the tarmac through 20-inch rims wrapped in Michelin Sport Cut tyres, 245/30 front and 315/25 rear. Pulling up from the R8R's 315km/h top speed is handled by huge 380mm drilled and ventilated brakes up front, while 356mm units handle duties out back.
MTM ramps up the standard R8's visuals to match its upgraded performance through the addition of a carbon fibre front lip, new side skirts, a rear screen, a new rear wing and updated sport seats.
The team at Motoren Technik Mayer have served up yet another sensational Audi-based vehicle that assaults the senses in the best possible way. Not surprisingly, price isn't mentioned but if you have to ask...
