Jaguar's new XF is currently making all of the right moves. With pre-orders hinting at the likely popularity of the new "modern" Jag, it seems that even Top Gear see it ticking most of the right boxes. Personally, this car is set to become a TMR favourite for 2008. It's about time that Jaguar found their way out of the last century and this will be the car to do it, just in time for the new owners (most likely Tata Motors) to reap the benefits.

In Europe, the XF is available with V6 petrol and diesel engine options as well as a normally aspirated or supercharged V8 option. An even more powerful version of the supercharged V8 is expected at some stage and will be dubbed the XF-R. Click through to see why James May believes that this car is exactly what Jaguar has needed for too long now.
