FANS OF THE original Forza Motorsport, released back in 2005, will have fond memories of the fictional Fujimi Kaido track, its down-hill and hill-climb runs popular with drifting fanatics.

The release of Forza 2 saw Fujimi Kaido fall by the wayside, but this week Forza publisher Turn 10 acknowledged the fan outcry, announcing the return of the favourite course in the franchise's third instalment.

Forza Motorsport 3 will feature an all-new layout for the Fujimi Kaido track - inspired by the down-hill racing made popular by the likes of anime series Initial D - challenging gamers with a mountainous 16km course.

Drifting fans have even more reason to be pleased, with 'drift mode' permanently enabled and a global drifting scoreboard available on XBOX LIVE.

Of course, with drifting comes a colourful history of celebrated Japanese hero cars, and Turn 10 has announced a number of favourite 90s and early 2000s examples that will appear in Forza 3.
