Last time we saw the E-Vade it was a rough and ready half finished project that promised loads of potential but you had to use your imagination to see it. Well, now its finished and ready for its debut public appearance at this months Melbourne Motor Show.

E-Vade designer and builder, David Walter has recently finished a shakedown run of his new home built performance car at VACC Park in Port Melbourne and it was said the E-Vade showed a noticeable turn of speed. Powered by a 300kW Nissan V6 and weighing only 950kg one can imagine that the turn of speed would have been very noticeable.

David Walter is the ship's engineer of HMAS Ballarat and he also took the finished car to the Tenix naval dockyard at Williamstown where his ship is in drydock.

While most attention is focussed on the road-going E-Vade, test driven on the day by Peta Walter, the ferocious track version sporting a reported 500kW turbo-charged Nissan V6, made a brief and thunderous appearance at VACC Park.

The road car will make a preview run in the Motor Show Cavalcade on Wednesday 27 February, departing from the Town Hall at noon for a two-hour display in Federation Square.

Both cars will complete their chassis tuning after their debut appearance at the Motor Show.
