Citroen Creates Arsenal-Themed C4 For Charity Event

Citroen UK and English Premier League side Arsenal have teamed up with world famous cartoonist Gerald Scarfe to the produce this one-of Arsenal themed Citroen C4.

The unique Citroen has been created to assist fund-raising efforts for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which provides specialist care and support to teenagers suffering from the disease.

Gerald Scarfe, who is best know for his animation work on the Pink Floyd film "The Wall", decorated the car with caricatures of Arsenal’s players and its manager, Arsène Wenger.

Scarfe had this to say of his involvement in the project:

“I was delighted when Teenage Cancer Trust asked me to be involved with this project.”

“Meeting Harriet, who had cancer when she was 14 and who is helping organise the project, underlined for me the importance of this excellent charity, and getting together with the players and learning about Arsenal’s rich heritage helped to inspire my designs for the car.”

Scrafe went on to outline the importance of the vehicle beyond that of a unique prize for one lucky ticket holder.

“I hope that fans – wherever they are in the world – will be queuing up to buy tickets to win this unique car, helping the Club to raise as much money as possible for Teenage Cancer Trust. The work that the charity is doing for young people with cancer is invaluable and so important in giving them the chance to fight this disease."

After its time on display at Arsenal's home ground of Emirates Stadium is up, the Citroen C4 will be raffled off, with a ticket in the draw costing just £2.
