Bugatti Veyron Fbg Par Hermes

Bugatti have teamed with Hermès to bring the world a unique take on their Veyron supercar. For those looking for a Veyron that stands out from the crowd the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès could be just the ticket. Sensibly all of the Veyron good bits have been left untouched, which means under the skin is the same W16 quad-turbo 407km/h monster that we all know and love.

The difference lies in the presentation, with the Hermès version of the Veyron having been extensively worked over by Hermès designer, Gabriele Pezzini. The majority of Veyron’s that we have seen feature two-tone paintwork but not like the Hermès Veyron.

In a tribute to the 1924 Bugatti Type 35, Pezzini has introduced a new colour to the hood to match the interior of the cockpit, and carries this theme through to the upper rear surface of the Veyron.

Other exterior changes include the beautiful eight-spoked wheels in polished aluminium, central butterfly wheel locks branded with the letter H, and air vents around the rims reproducing the characteristic appearance of Hermès saddle-stitching. The horseshoe radiator grille, and the lateral ventilation grilles flanking it, are made from lightweight alloys with a design of interlocking H’s evoking the Hermès “signature” .

The interior of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès has been reupholstered in bull calfskin by the Hermès workshops in Paris. The door handles take their influence from the handles on Hermès travel bags and luggage, while the dashboard, traditionally finished in brushed aluminium, is clad entirely in bull calfskin.

The dashboard glove compartment has been designed to hold a selection of small travel accessories including a zipped Hermès wallet. Both seats are covered in two-toned bull calfskin, and the panel separating the cockpit from the central rear engine – traditionally made of carbon fibre – is covered in the same fine leather. The leather-lined trunk holds a specially-fitted “Toile H” and leather case, hand-made by craftsmen from the Hermès workshops.

The price? Only 1.55 million euros (not including tax), and if you get your order in soon your leather clad supercar will be available at the end of 2008.
