Sorry, I suppose that topic gives the impression that BMW has finally, after all these years of technology and internets, started using computers to aid in the design of its cars.

Alas no, BMW – like all manufacturers – put away the chalkboards and stone tablets years ago.  This project, then, involved BMW joining forces with computer case manufacturer Thermaltake in the creation of a BMW-directed PC case.

With hardcore (and rich) gamers in mind, BMW DesignworksUSA and Thermaltake teamed up to create the Level 10.  The concept is simple: take away the outer shell, create individual casings for each internal component, chuck in some some HAL9000 red LEDs, and off we go.

This isn’t the first time BMW DesignworksUSA has stepped away from the car world, having in the past taken on huge projects like trains and airplanes, to the more dimunitive coffee machine and speakers.
