BMW to use Brembo brakes

BMW brakes have generally been respected for their ability over the years but no-one will say they “look” capable. Park an M3 next to a Porsche Carrera and the Brembo built stoppers on the Porsche make the M3’s look a little pathetic.

According to Automotive News Europe, Brembo have begun supplying their famous brakes to BMW and while details are thin on the ground it would makes sense that it will be the “M” badged product that gets the good brakes, at least initially.

The move will see BMW join an elite list of manufacturers who rely on Brembo to pull up in hurry. Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini…to name just a few.
