BMW have confirmed that their beautiful Concept CS will be making an appearance at the Australian International Motor Show from October 11, making it the Southern Hemispheres debut for the four seater coupe.

The Concept CS is BMW’s vision of a premium four-seat coupe whose logical competitors (should it enter production) would be Aston Martin’s proposed Rapide and Porsche’s Panamera which is currently in development.

Created by BMW’s design team in Munich it marks a styling departure from the Chris Bangle school of styling and actually looks very cool, instead of very bad or boring.

The Concept CS retains enough BMW DNA to be instantly recognizable as a BMW. The distinct kidney grille design and dual corona ring headlights being the most obvious BMW hallmarks. Built on the current seven-series platform, the Concept CS could potentially become a production reality, which I guess would make it just the ‘CS’…

Whatever BMW’s plans may be, if the styling of the Concept CS is a glimpse of the future at BMW then the future is looking very tasty indeed. We’ll be sure to take plenty of polaroids at the Sydney Motor Show for any readers who are not making the journey.
