BMW 1 Series M Coupe: New Video Reveals All

As we near the end of a long trail of teaser videos and spy photos (both official and not-so), BMW has revealed its new 1 Series M Coupe in a new promotional video.

The video is all we're getting however, with the fine details scheduled to be revealed at the baby M car's official unveiling in Detroit next month.

One tidbit BMW has been happy to share is the 1 Series M Coupe's heart, confirmed to be its twin-turbo 3.0 litre N54 six-cylinder engine, producing around 255kW. 

It's also known that the 1 Series M will feature a rear differential and braking package similar to the M3, and the only transmission on offer will be a six-speed manual setup.

BMW also confirmed a kerb weight of "about" 1500kg, and its flared guards make it some 80mm wider than the 135i.
