As Bentley winds up the Arnage range, each platform in the family has been given the last-hoorah special treatment. Now it's the droptop's turn. The Brooklands Coupe and Arnage Final Series sedan will now be joined by the Azure T when it goes on display at this month's Los Angeles Motor Show.
The Azure T will represent the pinnacle of roof-down motoring from Bentley and will include extensive luxury options to differentiate itself from the 'standard' Azure. Power will come courtesy of the same twin turbo 6.75-litre V8 engine found in the Brooklands and Final Series models. A monstrous 374kWs and 1000Nms will be on offer which will allow the Azure T to reach 100km/h in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of around 287km/h.
The massive torque will be channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The job of pulling up over two tonnes of luxury convertible will be handled by the same carbon/silicon carbide brakes as seen in the Brooklands.
'Le Mans' vents, 20-inch five-spoke wheels, and a darker grille finish are among the many additional extras. The extensive feature list is predominantly luxury oriented, naturally, and leaves little to be desired.
A more luxurious and exclusive example of an already sumptuous droptop may be hard to resist for Bentley connoisseurs but, for the rest of us, the gallery images will have to suffice.
