Audi’s overpowered wagon for the family in a hurry has been snapped lapping the Nurburgring. The RS6 Avant seen in the picture is in the process of ongoing chassis and engine development for what is likely to be the World’s Fastest Wagon…but don’t quote me on that just yet.

Using the same 5.2-litre Lamborghini derived twin-turbo-charged V10 as the RS6 sedan we can expect to see power in excess of 395Kw and around 680Nm. This will be one wagon that will have no trouble lifting up its skirt and galloping from 0-100km/h in little more than 4.5-seconds. The wife will have no excuse for being late in collecting the kids from school…

The new Audi RS6 will feature the usual rear biased Quattro AWD system, flared guards and wider track front and rear as well as carbon ceramic brakes to help haul the big bruiser down from the warp speeds it will be capable of. Audi’s recently developed magnetic ride system is also expected to feature and is similar to the magneto-rheological fluid filled dampers being used by Ferrari and also HSV in their GTS sedan.

The RS6 sedan and Avant (wagon) are expected to make their public debut at this years Frankfurt Motor Show.
