Audi R8 Sells Out

According to a recent sales report, Audi's mid-engined R8 has sold out for "months to come", meaning that prospective buyers will have to join an ever-increasing waiting list for the 309kW super-coupe.

The R8, which has already won the title of Best Performance Car and Car Design of the Year at the 2008 World Car of the Year awards, has proven to be a big sales success for the German automaker, due in no small part to its combination of brute V8 strength and supermodel looks. Audi is mum on exactly how many R8s they've sold, or how many have been allocated to each country, but it seems that if you want to get one of your own you're going to have to get in line...
