WITH ONLY 77 units to be built, the Aston Martin One-77 is set to become one of the most exclusive supercars ever made when it launches later this year.

For those of us without the roughly $2 million needed to secure one of the rare supercars, these photos of the One-77 undergoing final shakedown tests might be as close as we can get.

The Aston Martin One-77 is powered by a new 7.3 litre V12 engine developing 522kW and 705Nm of torque.

Aston Martin declared late last year that the One-77 clocked a 354.86km/h (220.007mph) run in high-speed testing, bettering the company's previous best of 328km/h with the Vanquish S.

The British company's Australian arm has confirmed that at least one of the ultra-exclusive One-77s will make its way to Australia, with a $200,000 deposit taken from a local buyer ready to hand over the car's $2.03 million price.
