With just one example of the Aston Martin One-77 headed to Australia (for now, at least) most of us will be unlikely to see the limited edition British beast in the wilderness.

Today, the British supercarmaker has released a new video of its extremely limited-edition special, along with a handful of new newdetails.

Aston originally announced that the One-77 would draw power from a 7.0 litre version of the company’s 6.0 litre V12, producing a huge 522kW and 705Nm of torque.

Those figures have been officially upgraded, the One-77 now hiding a 7.3 litre V12 under its long bonnet, while power is up to 560kW and 750Nm.

"The One-77 is approaching a production reality and of course, there is considerable excitement in the project," Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez said.

"Now the next steps are all about details and refinement to complete the composition. I know the final car will demonstrate what the Aston Martin team is capable of."

Top speed hasn’t been officially revealed, but Bez has suggested speeds greater than 320km/h ought to be achievable.

Only one batch of 77 examples will be built – true to its name – and given the price tag of AU$2.03 million (£1.02m), it will be interesting to see if the British supercar manufacturer can move them all.
