In this day and age, “going green” conjures up visions of whisper quiet hybrid vehicles and clean diesels. Thankfully, Aston have a far more exciting way of getting their own green message across and it has nothing to do with environment and everything to do with tradition. Sounds good to me!

British Racing Green has long been associated with British motorsport and sports cars and most recently with Aston Martin’s own track special the DBR9. In truth, British Racing Green is not one specific colour, there are in fact literally hundreds of British Racing Greens that have been used by the various British manufacturers over time.

Aston engaged the services of Dupont for the creation of their particularly nice hew of Racing Green for the DBR9 and they have teamed up once again, to make the colour available on their DBS road car. Its fair to say that it looks absolutely stunning.

Nothing else changes under the skin of the Green DBS, not that any change is required. You get the usual DBS 6.0-litre V12 engine with a healthy dollop of 380kW/510hp enough to see the green machine put paid to the 0-100kmh dash in 4.3 seconds. Buy one and watch all your friends go green with envy…
