While the Alfa Romeo Brera has ever been a stunning car to look at, the general consensus has been that it could stand to drive a little sportier. Now, with the advent of the Turismo Internazionale model, to be shown at the Paris Motor Show, things have changed.
Turismo Internazionale?badged as TI, of course?is a designation given to Alfa Romeos of the highest calibre. These cars feature the best technology and engineering that Alfa can offer, and it shows.
The Brera TI will initially be available with either the 2.2 litre JTS engine in both manual and Selespeed, and a 3.2 litre V6 engine also in manual and Selespeed configurations. Other engines will be available down the track.
Alfa Romeo has adjusted the tuning of the Brera?s suspension, with stiffer springs and dampers, designed to ensure an effective grip on the road. The TI also wears 19-inch 8C-style rims, sitting over large brake discs and Brembo one-piece front calipers.
Inside the cabin, the TI ties the sportiness of the Turismo Internazionale brief with the class and style we all expect from an Alfa. The high-containment anatomical seats are trimmed with soft leather, with special stitching and a metal plate bearing the TI logo. Dark brushed-aluminium or carbon fibre are your options for the dashboard, centre console, and centre steering wheel panel. The dashboard can also be specified in leather.
The TI to be displayed in Paris will feature the 134kW 2.2 JTS direct injected aluminium engine, with the Selespeed sequential gearbox.
Other features in the display model include dual zone climate control, radio navigation system, xenon headlights, sunroof, adjustable door mirrors with memory, luggage retaining net, and parking sensors.
