ABT Sportline Tuned Volkswagen Scirocco

ABT Sportline has become the latest tuner to 'turn up the wick' on the Volkswagen Scirocco - the results are sure to delight fans of Volkswagen's latest hot-hatch.

All three engines in the range receive a boost in power thanks to simple modifications to the engine management systems. The 1.4L twin-charged engine now boasts almost 150kWs, up 30kWs, while the 2.0L diesel produces 127kWs, up 22kWs. The range topping 2.0L turbocharged unit now tops out just shy of 180kWs, also up 30kWs (yes, an excellent sign of things to come).

ABT swaps the stock springs for lower and stiffer items which sharpen up the handling while dropping the Scirocco by around 30mms. Smart drivers know that more power requires better brakes, so ABT has fitted larger rotors and new calipers to ensure the Scirocco stops as well as it goes.

There's little chance you'll be missed in traffic with ABT having fitted new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, vertically-stacked exhausts, and a new mid-mounted rear spoiler beneath the rear window. Combined with a range of wheels choices, from 18-inch to 20-inch, ABT's Scirocco has the presence to match the punch.

More power, improved braking and eye-catching visuals ensure the ABT Sportline enhanced Scirocco turns heads whereever it goes, while showing just how easily the platform lends itself to modification. We can't wait for Volkswagen's Scirocco to make its way Down-under.
