2012 BMW M6 Spied Testing

With the recent online unveiling of the 6 Series Coupe Concept, the camouflage on this spied M6 test car is almost unnecessary. Of course, being the range-topping performance model, the M6 will undoubtedly sport a more aggressive body kit.

The regular version of the next-generation BMW 6 Series may be some time away from its international debut, but it would seem BMW is working just as hard on its range-topping M division version.

Expected to launch around one year after the other 6 Series models, these images offer the first decent look at the upcoming 2012 BMW M6.

While camouflaged end-to-end in BMW's trademark swirl pattern, the quad exhausts of these cabrio and coupe test cars, along with the wide wheels and giant cross-drilled disc brakes, set them apart from the rest of the 6 Series range.

Power is expected to be provided by the same 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 powering the X5 M and  X6 M, developing more than 415kW and 650Nm of torque.
