2011 Volkswagen Golf Gets LED Daytime Running Lights, Australian Availability Unclear

Taking a leaf from its little brother the 2011 Polo GTI, the sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf has come in for at least one update for 2011: LED daytime running lights have been added to the optional bi-xenon headlights.

In Australia, only the sports-oriented Golf GTD and Golf GTI can be optioned with the bi-xenon headlights, while the top-shelf Golf R is fitted with the up-spec units as standard.

The Golf R also features daytime running lights in its front bumper, and it remains to be seen if this will change will the arrival of the updated headlights or if it will continue with the existing arrangement.

Australia

Available in Europe with most models, Australian availability for the updated headlights has yet to be confirmed.
